Malignant Nephrosclerosis
- associated with rapidly fatal malignant hypertension
- vascular damage to arterioles and small arteries
- Pathology
- fibrinoid necrosis (flea bitten kidney)
- hyperplastic arteriosclerosis (onion skin)
- Clinical
- BP increases over 210
- could get celebral edema
- papilledema
- retinopathy
- treat with intravenous nitroprusside
